The bodies of three children, who went missing while taking bath in the Brahmaputra river on Wednesday in Nageshwari upazila of Kurigram, were retrieved from the river on Thursday.
The deceased are Atik Hasan, son of Ahad Ali, Jewel, son of Alam Mia and Nazmul Islam, son of Nazrul Islam. All of them aged between 7-10 years.
Ankhi, daughter of Ahad Ali, remained missing till the filling of this report in the evening.
The divers from local firefighting units recovered the bodies from the river at Jatrapur in Sadar upazila, 2-3 km away from the spot where they drowned, said Biswajit Roy, officer-in-charge of Kachakata police station.
On Wednesday afternoon, four children went missing when they were taking bath in the Brahmaputra River.
