A case was filed against 59 people, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and former whip Iqbalur Rahim, on charge of attempting to kill a student by shooting during the anti-government movement on August 4 in Dinajpur.
Victim Fahim Faisal, 22, son of ABM Siddiq of Rajbati area under Sadar upazila, filed the case with Kotwali police station on Friday.
Officer-in-charge of the police station Farid Hossain said that Fahim sustained bullet injuries during a clash in front of Sadar general hospital in Munshipara area.
In the case, Sheikh Hasina and former local lawmaker Iqbalur Rahim were made the first and second accused respectively, he said.
Moreover, fifty-seven others were named and several others were unnamed in the case, said the OC.
Since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, the former whip ha so far been accused in the four cases.
