Unidentified assailants shot two Rohingya people to death in separate incidents in Kutupalang and Jamtali camps under Ukhia upazila in Cox鈥檚 Bazar on Monday.
The deceased are Kabir Ahmed, 27, son of Rashid Ahmed of C-1 Block of Extension Camp No. 4, and Noor Bashar, 54, son of Habib of Jamtali Camp No. 15 under Ukhia Upazila.
Ukhia police station officer-in-charge Shamim Hossain said that some gunmen picked up the two from separate camps and shot them to death.
On information, the police went to the spot and recovered the bodies, he said.
He said that they suspected that the incidents occurred due to a dispute between two conflicting groups 鈥� the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army and the Rohingya Solidarity Organisation.
The two bodies were sent to Cox鈥檚 Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
