Samina Ahmed has been appointed as chairman of the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
In a notification issued on Wednesday, she was appointed of the post for the next three years.
Samina Ahmed joined the BCSIR as a scientific officer in 1994, and promoted as senior scientific officer in 2004.
She was promoted as principal scientific officer in 2012, and promoted as chief scientific officer in 2019.
She is a chemical scientist. She has around 30 years of professional career at the BCSIR. She studied in chemistry.
