
Today is the 53rd anniversary of the birth of film artiste Salman Shah, who won the hearts of film lovers across the country with his acting in films like ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat’, ‘Sujan Sakhi’, ‘Swapner Thikana’ and ‘Ananda Ashru’.
Born on September 19, 1971, Shahriar Chowdhury Emon, popularly known by the stage name Salman Shah, made his silver screen debut in 1993 with Sohanur Rahman Sohan-directed film ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat’.
Before making his silver screen debut, he acted in the first episode of the drama series named ‘Pathar Samay’. He also appeared as a model in television commercials.
During his four-year film career, the actor acted in 27 films including, ‘Satyer Mrityu Nei’, ‘Antare Antare’, ‘Swapner Thikana’, ‘Bikshob’ and ‘Prem Piyasi’.
Salman Shah’s lifeless body was found hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom on September 6, 1996.
