The Amar Bangladesh Party on Sunday called on the interim government headed by Muhammd Yunus to ensure democratic rights of all citizens of the country.

The central leader of the party Asaduzzaman Fuaad at a press conference at party鈥檚 central office in Dhaka called on the interim government to stop the confrontations between settlers and national minority people in different districts in Chittagong Hill Tracts.


He called on the interim government to form a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to resolve crises of the CHT.

Another central leader of the party, Abdul Wahab Minar, hoped that the interim government would take more steps to resolve the hill issues.

Recently, four people were killed in the CHT in confrontations.
