
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Wednesday held a meeting with a 10-member expert medical team from China who came to treat the injured in the July-August uprising.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Department of Health, the expert doctors of various levels of the team inquired about the medical care of the injured students at the BSMMU and others, said a press release.
The delegation has already visited the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, National Orthopaedic Hospital and Institute of Rehabilitation, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
In the meeting, the BSMMU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, pro-VC (academic) Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam, pro-VC (administration) Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad, pro-VC (research and development) Professor Dr Md Mujibur Rahman Hawlader, registrar Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam, director (hospital) Brigadier General Dr Md Rezaur Rahman, among others, were present at the meeting.
