
The Southeast University pharmacy department in collaboration with the Southeast Pharmacy Club celebrated the World Pharmacists Day, holding a rally and a discussion, at the university in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Vice-chancellor of the university Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, pro-VC Professor M Mofazzal Hossain, the GSK Bangladesh Limited鈥檚 country manager and managing director Tanbir Ashraf, Tabassum Sirajam Munira, Professor Hasnat M Alamgir, among others, joined the event, said a press release on Thursday.
The speakers delivered speeches emphasising the role of pharmacists in healthcare, particularly in patient care, medication management, and health promotion.
They highlighted the importance of continuous education and innovation in the pharmaceutical field. Additionally, the talks explored career opportunities for pharmacists in hospital, clinical, and community settings, along with emerging fields such as the food and cosmetics industries.
