Manarat International University pharmacy department has celebrated the World Pharmacist Day organising different programmes at its Ashulia campus recently.
On the occasion, the MIU organised various programmes, highlighting the contribution of pharmacists in the health sector, their rights and professional discrimination, among others, said a press release.
Besides, a reception programme was organised in honour of the students of the 37th batch of pharmacy department.
Marking the day, the MIU also organised a seminar.聽 Speakers highlighted the contribution of pharmacists in healthcare, their importance in combating global epidemics and the tireless efforts of pharmacists in providing the right medicines to the common man at the seminar.
Later, prizes were distributed among the winners of various competitions. Raqib Al Mamun, head of the department of pharmacy, handed over the prizes to the winners.
The celebration concluded with bringing a procession on the campus premises, added the press release.
