Members of the Rapid Action Battalion arrested two more persons accused of killing Bangladesh Army Lieutenant Tanzim Sarwar Nirjon in a joint operation in Cox鈥檚 Bazar on Friday midnight.
The arrested are Nashir Uddin, 38, son of Abdul Malek of Dumkhali and Enamul Haque, 50, son of Nurul Alam of Maizpara under Dulahazara union of Chakaria upazila, said RAB 15 senior assistant director Md Abul Kalam Chowdhury.
Abul Kalam said that they had handed over the accused to the Chakaria police. Chakaria police station officer-in-charge Manjur Kader Bhuiyan said that the process of sending the accused to jail were underway.
Army officer Tanzim, 23, was stabbed to death by suspected robbers during a drive in the Purba Maizpara area under Chakaria upazila in Cox鈥檚 Bazar early Tuesday.
Nine people were arrested in connection with the killing so far while two cases were filed with the Chakaria police station on Wednesday.
The other arrested are Babul Prokash, 44, Helal Uddin, 34, Anowar Hakim, 28, Arif Ullah, 25, Ziabul Karim, 45, Md Hossain, 39, and Md Sadek, 41.
