The Reform Party on Sunday called on the interim government headed by Muhammad Yunus to form 10 commissions for holding reforms of the ruling system and the constitution for democratic transition in the country.

The executive coordinator of the party, Ameen Ahmed Afsary, at a press conference at the National Press Club raised the demands of the reforms.


He said that after fall of the government of Sheikh Hasina scope had been created for holding reforms of the ruling system and the constitution for holding a free, fair and credible general election.

The political parties should give the interim government justified time for holding the reforms, Ameen Ahmed said.

The 10 proposed commissions are the human rights commission, the textile commission, the food commission, the security commission, the habitat commission, the health commission, the education commission, the environment commission, the recreation commission and the communication commission.

Academics Sinha MA Sayeed, Ikteder Ahmed, lawyer MA Sarwar Hossain, Sirajul Anwar, Mohammad Afzlul Haque and others spoke at the press conference.
