Ganosamhati Andolan, a partner of Ganatantra Mancha, on Tuesday urged the Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus-led interim government to play a more effective role in resolving the ongoing crisis to bring stability to the country.

Addressing a press conference at the party鈥檚 Hatirpool central office in Dhaka, its chief coordinator Zonayed Saki also demanded to hold trials of those involved in attacking and killing students and people during the recent student-led movement.

To do this, Saki said, the interim government should hold meetings with the political parties that participated in the movement against the fascist Sheikh Hasina regime.

He said that the crisis would not be resolved if the interim government wanted to hold with specific political parties.

Abul Hassan Rubel, executive coordinator of the party, read out a written speech and said that Ganosamhati Andolan would hold mass dialogues across the country for two months to involve the people to keep their roles for the success of the interim government and a democratic transition in the country.

The party would hold a dialogue on October 4 in Narayanganj, on October 17 in Barishal, on October 18 in Khulna, on October 19 in Rajshahi, on October 25 in Chattogram, on October 26 in Rangpur, on November 1 in Sylhet, on November 2 in Mymensingh and on November 29 in Dhaka, he said.

He said that they began renewal of party membership across the country on Tuesday, ahead of the fifth national conference.聽聽聽
