Nurul Haque Nur-led faction of the Gono Odhikar Parishad on Tuesday urged all to refrain from agitations to realise their demands before the interim government became stable.
‘After the student-led mass uprising on August 5, instead of giving support to the newly formed government, various communities and groups are putting pressure on it in the name of the so-called movement, creating chaos, anarchy and even disrupting security in front of the residence of the chief adviser by blocking roads,’ the GOP said in a statement.
It also urged everyone to refrain from such activities, saying that the GOP considers the agitation demanding the age limit of 35 for entering government jobs to be logical.
The statement protested at Tuesday’s ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· report that mentioned that the Chief Adviser’s Office staff said that they had found through analysing the videos that many of the protesters were followers of Gono Odhikar Parishad faction president Nurul Haque Nur.
The statement, signed by GOP media coordinator Abu Hanif, said that the ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ·â€™s report was not true.
On Monday, dozens of protesters blocked the interim government chief adviser Muhammad Yunus’s official residence, Jamuna, demanding an increase in the age limit for government jobs.
A wing of the CA’s office that monitored the agitation and analysed the video footage of agitators confirmed to ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that a section of the agitators was involved in GOP politics.
