Bangladesh Olympic Association president and former chief of Army Staff, General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, resigned from his post around a year before the end of his four-year tenure, according to a letter received by the BOA office on Wednesday.
Shafiuddin, who took the charge as the BOA president in December 2021, sent the letter to BOA secretary general Syed Shahed Reza.
鈥榃e received the letter on Wednesday morning. We will go to the next step by calling an executive meeting soon... It will take two to three weeks to complete the procedure. We are working on it,鈥� BOA director general Brig Gen (retired) Mohammad Samsul Alam Khan told the media on Wednesday.
