Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission has increased the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas by Tk聽2.88 per kilogram and auto gas by Tk聽1.58 per litre for the month of October.
Now the price of per kg LPG will be Tk聽121.32, up from Tk聽118.44 of the last month and per litre auto gas will be Tk聽66.84, up from Tk聽65.26 of the last month.
As per the new rate, a 12kg LPG cylinder will be sold at Tk聽1,456, up by Tk聽35 from Tk聽1,421 of the previous month.
The new prices have been made effective from 6:00 pm today across the country.
Prices of other LPG cylinders 鈥� from 5.5 kg to 45 kg 鈥� will go up proportionately.
The BERC said the decision to adjust LPG prices upward came in the wake of hiking costs in the international market, specifically tied to the increase in the Saudi CP (contract price), which serves as a benchmark for local operators importing LPG primarily from the Middle East.
According to the BERC statement, the price (including VAT) of a 12.5 kg LPG cylinder will be Tk聽1,517,15 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽1,820, 16 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽1,941, 18 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽2,184, 20 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽2,426, 22 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽2,669, 25 kg
LPG cylinder Tk聽3,033, 30 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽3,640, 33 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽4,004, 35 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽4,246 and 45 kg LPG cylinder Tk聽5,459 across the country.
