Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission has increased the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas by Tk 2.88 per kilogram and auto gas by Tk 1.58 per litre for the month of October.

Now the price of per kg LPG will be Tk 121.32, up from Tk 118.44 of the last month and per litre auto gas will be Tk 66.84, up from Tk 65.26 of the last month.


As per the new rate, a 12kg LPG cylinder will be sold at Tk 1,456, up by Tk 35 from Tk 1,421 of the previous month.

The new prices have been made effective from 6:00 pm today across the country.

Prices of other LPG cylinders – from 5.5 kg to 45 kg – will go up proportionately.

The BERC said the decision to adjust LPG prices upward came in the wake of hiking costs in the international market, specifically tied to the increase in the Saudi CP (contract price), which serves as a benchmark for local operators importing LPG primarily from the Middle East.

According to the BERC statement, the price (including VAT) of a 12.5 kg LPG cylinder will be Tk 1,517,15 kg LPG cylinder Tk 1,820, 16 kg LPG cylinder Tk 1,941, 18 kg LPG cylinder Tk 2,184, 20 kg LPG cylinder Tk 2,426, 22 kg LPG cylinder Tk 2,669, 25 kg

LPG cylinder Tk 3,033, 30 kg LPG cylinder Tk 3,640, 33 kg LPG cylinder Tk 4,004, 35 kg LPG cylinder Tk 4,246 and 45 kg LPG cylinder Tk 5,459 across the country.
