The Bangladesh Football Federation formed a three-member election commission on Thursday, led by former bureaucrat Mesbah Uddin, who would serve in the same capacity for the fifth consecutive time since 2008, ahead of the October 26 polls.

Advocate AKM Ehsanur Rahman and another bureaucrat, Suraiya Aktar Jahan, are the other two members of the commission that will oversee the elections.

The BFF executive committee member Satyajit Das Rupu came up with the announcement before the press following a meeting at the BFF House.

The meeting also approved a list of 133 voting councillors, who will give their mandates in the elections to have a 21-member committee to govern the federation for a four-year tenure.

Besides, a three-member BFF 2024 election appeal commission was formed with making Mohammad Zakaria its chief.

SM Harunur Rashid and Mihir Sarwar Morshed are the other two members of the appeal commission.
