Rabindra University, Bangladesh observed the World Teachers Day at Shahzadpur in Sirajganj on Saturday.
Under the guidance of the RUB vice-chancellor Professor Hasan Talukdar, a procession was organised with the theme ‘Teacher’s Voice: New Social Commitment in Education’ on the campus, said a press release.
The procession started from the temporary academic building-1 and ended at the temporary academic building-3 of the university. Chairman of various departments, members of proctorial body, teachers and students of the RUB participated in the procession.
The press release noted that the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education directed to celebrate the World Teachers’ Day to encourage and motivate all teachers by honouring them for their contribution to nation building.
