The grand finale and prize-giving ceremony of the English Language Forum of the United International University-organised competition, Presentation Champs: Season 1, held at the UIU campus in Dhaka on Sunday.
A wing of the Directorate of聽Career聽Counseling ad聽Student Affairs, the intra-university competition, aimed at showcasing the presentation skills of UIU students, said a press release on Monday.
Out of 60 teams, the grand champion title went to the team Caffeine Crew, who won a prize of Tk 15,000, while team Speechify emerged as the 1st runner-up, taking home Tk 10,000, and Stat-Valiants secured the 2nd runner-up position with a prize of Tk 5,000.
Each team was given a trophy by the UIU vice-chancellor Professor Md Abul Kashem Mia,聽 as a token of appreciation for showcasing their skills.
The esteemed panel of judges included Farid A Sobhani, professor at the SOBE and director of the CIAC, UIU; Mohammad Morad Hossain, CHRO and board secretary of the Elite Group of Companies; Mohammad Rakibul Kabir, director of the HRDI and head of the department of accounting at Daffodil International University; Mohammad Aman Ullah, founder and chairman of the WOC, chief organiser of the English Olympiad and World Orphans Day.
The faculty members, officials, participants, students and other distinguished guests were present at the programme.
