The police on Friday night arrested Tutul Pramanik, 20, the prime accused in a rape case of a class V schoolgirl at Kamarkhand in Sirajganj.
He was arrested after the victim鈥檚 family filed a case with the Kamarkhand police station on the same day.
Tutul was sent to jail as police produced him to the court in the night.
The other four accused, including Tutul鈥檚 brothers Saddam and Rakib, his father Sohrab Pramanik and his uncle Rafique went into hiding and yet to be arrested.
Kamarkhand police station officer-in-charge Mokhlesur Rahman said that the victim was sent for medical examinations.
The OC mentioned that the police were searching the other accused as they went into hiding.
