Janata Bank PLC director and former joint secretary Meshkat Ahmed Chowdhury died from a heart attack at his residence in Dhaka on Tuesday evening.
Meshkat was 65. He is survived by his wife, one son and a daughter.
After the funeral on Wednesday, his body was buried in the family graveyard at Baralekha in Moulvibazar.
His family requested all to pray for the salvation of the departed soul, said a press release.
