Daffodil International University founder and board of trustees鈥� chairman Md Sabur Khan has聽been elected as treasurer of the International Association of University Presidents for the tenure 2027-2030.
Sabur Khan is the first Bangladeshi to hold a leadership position on this prestigious global platform, said a DIU press release.聽
The announcement was made during the IAUP general assembly meeting held at the Beijing Conference Centre on October 15.
The newly elected leadership team includes Shawn Chen, founder and chairman of Sias International University in China, who will serve as president, while Tatsuro Tanioka, vice-chancellor of Tanioka Gakuen Education Foundation in Japan, will sereve as secretary general of the IAUP.
Along with the Bangladeshi universities president delegates, around 700 participants from 53 countries, including Asia, Europe, America and Africa joined the conference
The outgoing president, Fernando Le贸n-Garc铆a, president of the CETYS University, Mexico, warmly welcomed the newly elected officials, added the press release.
