
Leaders of the Naitik Samaj on Friday at a rally in Dhaka called on the interim government headed by Professor Muhammad Yunus to take immediate steps to control the price hike of essential commodities.
The Naitik Samaj, a political party, organised the rally in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh where its president former army official AMSA Amin chaired.
Speaking at the rally, AMSA Amin said that the ordinary people of the country were suffering much to run their families with their limited incomes.
He called on the interim government to take immediate steps to control abnormal price hikes of essential commodities.
AMSA Amin also called on the government to take steps to control law and order of the country and stop extortions.
He also called on the interim government to give a general election after holding required reforms within a justified time.
Secretary general of the party, Abu Naser, said that the people of the country were eagerly waiting to see implementation of spirits of the recent students and people movement.
The people also want to establish their voting rights to form a democratic country, Naser added.
