Dhaka-Mymensingh rail communication on Friday was suspended for around three and a half hours as the engine of the Haor Express went out of order at Gaffargaon in the district.
Gaffargaon railway police outpost in-charge Kartik Chandra Roy said that the engine of Dhaka-bound express went out of order in the station鈥檚 outer area at 12:30pm while coming from Mohanganj, leading to the disruption in the rail communication.
The rail communication restored after a relief engine rescued the train at around 4:00pm, added the SI.
A similar engine failure incident took place with the Mahua Commuter train at Gaffargaon Railway Station on Thursday.
