Leaders of the Ganatantrik Oikya at a press conference on Sunday called on Bangladesh's interim government to take immediate steps to control abnormal price hikes of the essential commodities.

The Ganatantrik Oikya held the press conference at the Bangladesh Shishu Adhikar Parishad in Dhaka.聽


President of the organisation Mohammad Rafiqul Islam in his written speech said that the common people of the country were suffering much to run their families facing abnormal price hikes of the essentials.

The interim government must take immediate steps to control abnormal price hikes of the essential commodities, otherwise aim of victory of the students and people movement might fail, he said.

After the fall of the fascist Sheikh Hasina government, the people were waiting eagerly for the restoration of democratic rule in the country, Rafiqul Islam said.

Central leaders of the party, Abu Ahad Al Mamun, Shahdubabi Dablew, Saber Ahmed and Iqbal Hasan attended the press conference.
