Giant Group managing director Faruque Hassan has taken over as chairman of board of trustees at BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology.
He was also president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
Faruque Hassan, founder member of the board of trustees at BUFT, was elected for the position during BUFT鈥檚 54th board meeting held on Monday, according to a press release.
BUFT in the press release said that his appointment marked a significant milestone in strengthening the university鈥檚 partnerships with academia, research and garment industry.
