The Dhaka first, second and third division cricket leagues will be sponsored by Meghna Bank PLC, says a press release.
The Bank has signed a one-year agreement with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for these three domestic cricket tournaments.
On Tuesday, October 22, during a press conference in Mirpur, Fahim Sinha, director and head of marketing of BCB, announced the agreement.
The contract amount for the tournaments is Tk one crore. During the press conference, Meghna Bank鈥檚 deputy managing director Kimiwa Saddat handed over the check to Fahim Sinha, director and head of marketing of BCB.
Moazzim Hossain Jewel, head of brand, marketing and communications, Meghna Bank was also present there.
It is noteworthy that with Meghna Bank PLC鈥檚 support, BCB aims to restructure the tournament to further enrich cricket in the country.
Regarding this, Kimiwa Saddat, deputy managing director of Meghna Bank PLC, stated, 鈥楥ricket is not just a sport. It is one of the key factors that introduces Bangladesh to the international stage. Therefore, we are proud and honored to be associated with Bangladesh Cricket. This is our first initiative, but definitely not the last. We would like to consider this as the beginning. We aim to continue our partnership with the Bangladesh Cricket Board in the development of grassroots cricket in the future.鈥�

The Head of Brand Marketing and Communications of Meghna Bank, Md Moazzim Hossain Jewel said that Meghna Bank鈥檚 sponsorship will play an important role in this tournament, helping to create a national player from the grassroots level.
