Bangladesh earned a solitary goal win over the Philippines in their second match of the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup 2025 qualifiers at the National Sports Complex in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Wednesday.

Midfielder Shofiq Rahman netted the decisive goal in the 18th minute, keeping Bangladesh鈥檚 hopes alive for a top-two finish in Group B.


Bangladesh, who conceded a 1-0 defeat to hosts Cambodia in the first match on October 19, will play their remaining group matches against Macau and Afghanistan on October 25 and 27 respectively.

Ten group winners and the five best runners-up of the competition will qualify for the tournament final to be held in Saudi Arabia.
