The 20-day book fair has been organised in celebration of the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, said a press release on Wednesday.
Mentioning that this book fair will play a very important role in inspiring Islamic ideals from the secular ambience, Khalid Hossain said that they could organise an international book fair at the Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital. ‘But we need to consider whether international publishers will attend the fair.’
He also emphasised the undeniable contribution of Islamic literature to shaping an ideal life. Â
Chaired by director general of the Islamic Foundation, Mohammad Saiful Islam, religious affairs secretary MA Hamid Jamaddar attended the event.
