The police on Wednesday arrested Bangladesh鈥檚 former state minister for primary and mass education Zakir Hossain from Mohammadpur in Dhaka.
Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest in a message.
Zakir was accused in a number of cases in connection with attacks on students and people during the recent student-led mass uprising.
