鈥楢 group of people try to dismiss poet Farrukh Ahmad鈥檚 works as sectarian and reactionary. But most of the Bengali Muslims worked for the 鈥淧akistan movement鈥. We need to read him historically,鈥 said Kudrat E Huda.

鈥楩arrukh Ahmad used a lot of Urdu, Persian and Arabic words in his poems and the characters of his poem came from myth, folk and our punthi while he did not use the language of the punthi,鈥 said Sohel Hasan Galib.

鈥楩arrukh Ahmad was the follower of poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Although he was a follower of the Communist movement and later an Islamist, his language was for humanism,鈥 Abdul Hye Sikder said, adding that Bangla Academy neglected poets Farrukh Ahmad and Al Mahmud.聽聽聽
