The 52nd founding anniversary of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal will be observed today.
The party was formed on October 31, 1972 by then student and youth leaders who played the leading role in the War of Independence of the country.
Different factions of the party have taken elaborate programmes to observe the day.
The Jatiya Samajtanrik Dal-JSD will observe聽聽 the day with discussion, processions and other programmes.
The party will hold a discussion at the National Press Club auditorium at 3:00pm today where its president ASM Abdur Rob will chair and Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Ganatantra Mancha leaders will speak.
The Bangladesh Jasod will hold a discussion and reunion at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh at 3:00pm today to mark the anniversary.
The party president, Sharif Nurul Ambia, will chair the discussion and leaders of different political parties will speak at the programme, a party press release said.
