A daylong art camp titled Creative Harmony was held featuring 50 seasoned and promising artists at Khilkhet in Dhaka on Friday.

Through organising the camp, Bangladeshi artists’ group White Paper celebrated its fourth founding anniversary.


The camp was inaugurated by eminent sculptor-painter Hamiduzzaman Khan,

The camp was curated by the founder of White Paper artist, Sonya Binta Hasan.

Artists drew the landscape, rickshaw painting, calligraphy, contemporary issues and others.

Dhaka University fine art faculty dean Md Azharul Islam Sheikh, sculptor Ivy Zaman, SM Wahiduzzaman, Rezaun Nabi, International Watercolour Society Bangladesh president Md Kauser Hossain, Kazi Golam Kibria, Biplab Bipordas, Shohag Parvez, Zahangir Alom, Al - Akhir Sarker, Palash Datta, among others, participated in the art camp.

‘After the student-led mass uprising, we have organised this art camp with fresh energy and strength. The artist community was involved in drawing cartoons, graffiti and performance art in the July revaluation. In this art camp, young artists can learn a lot about tradition, history and techniques from legendary and contemporary artists,’ said Sonya Binta Hasan.    

White Paper began its journey in 2021 to facilitate effective communication between renowned and young artists at home and aboard and to put Bangladesh on the global art map.

They regularly organise art camps, workshops and exhibitions to promote young artists of the country. Â
