The paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh detained two Indian citizens with some liquor from Shahpur frontier of Cumilla.
The detained individuals are Md Roni, 21, son of Delwar Hossain and Md Delwar Hossain, 18, son of Ayub Ali, said a BGB release, signed by its Cumilla battalion commander (10 BGB) lieutenant colonel Md Iftekhar Sunday evening.
The detained are inhabitants of Suvapur village under Sonamura police station of Sipahjjla district, Tripura, India.
They were handed over to the Kotwali model police station in Comilla where a legal process was underway in this connection under Section 4 of the Bangladesh Control of Entry Act, 1952 and Section 24 (a) of Table 36 (1) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, the release added.
