
Speakers including experts at a dialogue on Saturday in the city underlined the need for promoting intergenerational connections between youths and senior citizens for social well-being and building integrated communities.
They were speaking on ‘Mental Wellbeing of the Senior Citizens and the Role of Youth’ organized by Coalition of Development Communication Society-CDCS in collaboration with Icon Care Ltd
‘Fostering intergenerational connections between youths and the senior citizens is crucial for building cohesive communities and promoting social well-being,’ renowned psychiatrist Brigadier General Qumrul Hasan said while addressing the event as guest speaker.
Professor Yasmin Ahmed, senior faculty, Shanto- Mariam University of Creative Technology and Rowshan Islam, regional commissioner, Rajdhani Ancholm, also spoke at the discussion.
Hasan Ali, researcher and Tamanna Rahman, executive director, Coalition of Development Communication Society-CDCS, jointly presided over the event joined by a total of 45 Girl Guiders, Scouts and senior citizens among others.
