Kazi Mahmood Karim has recently been promoted as deputy managing director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, according to a press release.
Prior to the promotion, he served as senior executive vice-president of the bank.
Before his tenure at AIB PLC, Mahmood held various positions at Eastern Bank, Southeast Bank and Prime Bank, as well as at Prime Exchange Co Ltd in Singapore, the press release said.
Mahmood鈥檚 banking career began in 1989 at the erstwhile BCCI (O) Ltd in Dhaka, as a probationary officer.
He earned both his bachelor and master鈥檚 degree in economics from the University of Dhaka.
