Desh Television Limited managing director Arif Hasan was arrested in front of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on early Sunday while attempting to flee the country.
Confirming the information, airport police station officer-in-charge Ershad Ahmed said that they arrested Desh TV MD in front of the airport at about 12:35am.
The OC said that Arif was taken to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police detective branch office in the capital鈥檚 Minto Road area for security purpose.
鈥楽everal other law enforcement agencies鈥� members have helped us in making the arrest,鈥� he added.
DMP spokesperson Muhammad Talebur Rahman said that Arif was accused in an attempt to murder case over an incident that took place on July 19 during the Student Movement Against Discrimination.
