The Southeast University held a two-day orientation programme for the fall semester 2024 at its Multipurpose Hall in Dhaka.

The programme comprised four sessions for different departments on November 13 and 14, said a press release on Monday.


The inaugural session was held for the newly admitted students of the computer science and engineering department. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology former professor Mohammad Kaykobad graced the session as chief guest.

Electrical and electronic engineering, architecture, and textile departments’ students were welcomed at the second session, which was graced by Anlima Textile Limited’s vice-president Rasheda Sarker Fancy as chief guest.

The SEU pro-vice-chancellor Professor M Mofazzal Hossain presided over the first day’s sessions.

On November 14, Bangla, English, and economics departments’ students were welcomed at the third session, which was graced by National Board of Revenue member Mohammad Belal Hossain Chowdhury as chief guest, while Dhaka Residential Model College principal Brigadier General Kazi Shameem Farhad was present as special guest.

Southeast business school’s students were welcomed at the last session, which was graced as chief guest by director and CEO of Expo Group, and ICAB former president Mahmudul Hasan Khusru.

The SEU vice-chancellor Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam presided over the sessions of the second day, while Professor M Mofazzal Hossain, SEU registrar Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, additional M Abul Bashar, and deans, and chairpersons of SEU extended a heartfelt welcome to the newly enrolled students.
