Mohammad Murad Islam, an injured in the anti-discrimination student movement, was sent to Vegthani Hospital in Thailand on Wednesday for better treatment.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying Murad Islam left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this morning, a press release of the health ministry said.
Director deneral of the Heath Directorate Professor Dr Md Abu Jafar saw him off at the airport.
Joint Director of the National Institute of Neuroscience Hospital Prof Badrul Alam said Murad Islam will be given robotic rehabilitation therapy in the Vegthani Hospital.
