A group of youths hacked a leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party in Rajshahi city on Thursday.
The injured, Bazlul Haque Montu, joint-convener of Rajshahi Metropolitan Unit BNP, is now undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Sankar K Biswas, in-charge of the RMCH emergency department, said that Montu was brought to the emergency department at around 2:30pm with stab-injuries on his stomach and forehead.
鈥楳ontu has been kept under the observation of the doctors at Ward 4, following a surgery,鈥� he added.
Mehedi Masud, officer-in-charge of Boalia model police station, told 抖阴精品 that a group of youths beat up and stabbed Montu while he sat in an arbitrary meeting with some local people at Bhadra area in the city.
He also said that none had lodged any complaint with the police till Thursday evening, and they were trying to nab who had attacked the BNP leader.
