
Private universities-based sociocultural organisation Agnisetu at a meeting in Dhaka on Saturday formed its 16-member executive committee with Nabin Abtahi as president and Maruf Hasan Bhuyan as general secretary.
The committee consists of vice-president Hemanta Kumar Barman, organising secretary Liaquat Liton, office secretary Bedaura Binte Zigar Ilhana, finance secretary Shukria, press and publication secretary Faiyaz Chowdhury, cultural secretary Shahriar Anik, library secretary Kabid Khan Deep, and members Sabrina Khan, Labib Hasan, Tajrian Chowdhury, Tarmin Ahmed Tisha, Adiba binte Hasan, Monir Rafi, and Abu Siddique Fahim, said a press reelase.
Agnisetu has been working for a long time to increase the practice of art, literature and culture in private universities, to foster creative thinking, to further develop creative thinking, and to develop a global perspective that awakens a worldview about life and the world among students.
The organisation has been carrying out various sociocultural activities, including publishing literary magazines, reading circles, discussion meetings, film screenings, and remembrance of intellectuals, which have played a role in creating democratic consciousness, values and morality among students.
