The interim government has appointed press ministers to the foreign missions in New Delhi of India and London of the United Kingdom.
In separate notifications issued on Sunday, foreign ministry appointed Faisal Mahmud and Akbar Hossain Majumder as the ministers of the press wing to the Bangladesh High Commissions in New Delhi and London respectively.
The appointments were contingent on them relinquishing work-relations with any other profession, business or government, semi-government and private organisations.
It mentioned that the appointments were made in the public interest and the conditions of the appointments would be determined by the contract agreement.
Both the press ministers were appointed contractually for two years.
