Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited in several drives has cut illegal gas connections at Keraniganj in Dhaka and in Narayanganj, said a press release on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, one industrial, a commercial, and 2,150 residential illegal gas connections were disconnected during raids conducted in different areas of Keraniganj and Narayanganj.
The press release mentioned that a total of 11,534 illegal gas connections and 30,509 burners, including 114 industrial, 69 commercial, and 11,351 residential, were disconnected during the campaign from September 2024 to November 26.
As part of the regular campaign aimed at rooting out illegal gas connections, eviction campaign is being conducted in different areas of Dhaka, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Narsingdi and Mymensingh.
