Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is leaving for London today to meet the party鈥檚 acting chairperson, Tarique Rahman.聽
After the fall of the Awami League government on August 5 amid a student-led mass uprising, this will be the first visit of the BNP leader to London, and he would stay there for a week or 10 days, said several BNP leaders.
Fakhrul is going to London to discuss issues regarding political and party at his meeting with Tarique, who is staying in London, said the party leaders.
