
Residents of all unions in Gaibandha district can now digitally pay their holding tax and trade licence fees exclusively through Nagad, the digital financial service of the Bangladesh Postal Department, said a press release.
This service was formally inaugurated on Saturday.
Through this system, citizens from 81 unions in Gaibandha can now use their unique ID to pay union holding tax and trade licence fees digitally.
To this end, a training workshop on the digital payment method was recently held in Gaibandha. Gaibandha deputy commissioner Chowdhury Moazzem Ahmed inaugurated the workshop.
Local government deputy director (deputy secretary) Md Shariful Islam presided over the event.
