Awami League鈥檚 student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League leaders and activists and teenage gang members on Saturday evening allegedly attacked leaders of the Student Movement Against Discrimination in Kusthia that left at least four people injured.
At least 25 to 30 people attacked the student leaders as they gathered on the Kushtia municipality premises to attend a pitha festival, according to witnesses and police.
The platform鈥檚 Kusthia district unit convener Hasibur Rahman said, 鈥楾he injured took primary treatment at hospital. Our members went there to attend Pitha Festival as guests.鈥�
Kusthia district SP Md Mizanur Rahman said that a case was filed in this connection.
