International School Dhaka observed the 54th Victory Day of Bangladesh on Monday with a heartfelt assembly by bringing together the whole school community to honour the country鈥檚 rich history and sacrifices of the martyrs.

The assembly was held at ISD鈥檚 gymnasium, and a tapestry of performances was exhibited that monumentalised the spirit of patriotism and unity, said a press release.


The assembly began with a warm welcome from Steve Calland-Scoble, director of ISD. Following the welcome speech, students from Grades 3, 4, and 5 performed the National Anthem, which was followed by a series of captivating performances.

All the performances enlightened the audience about the immense sacrifices made during the Liberation War. They connected the younger generation with their heritage and instilled a sense of gratitude towards the country鈥檚 martyrs and heroes.
