Bangla Academy president Professor Abul Quasem Fazlul Haque has been nominated as syndicate member of the National University.
He was nominated as a member of the syndicate by the NU senate as a distinguished professional citizen, said a press release on Sunday.
A former professor of Bangla at the University of Dhaka, Abul Quasem Fazlul Haque has written a good number of books such as Mukti Sangram, Kaler Jatrar Dhwani, Ekushey February Andolan, Mao Zedong-er Gyantattwa, and Manush O Tar Paribesh, Rajneeti O Darshan.
In recognition of his work, he has been awarded the Bangla Academy Literary Aawrd, Bangladesh Lekhak Shibir, Alaol Sahitya and Alakta Sahitya Puraskar.
