Bangladesh will begin their Champions Trophy campaign with a match against India on February 20 in Dubai, as per a report by ESPNcricinfo on Monday.
Pakistan decided that Dubai would be the neutral venue for next year's mega event on Sunday, following India's decision not to travel to the host nation for the tournament.
The eight-nation tournament will begin on February 19, 2025, eight years after its last edition in 2017 in England and Wales.
Defending champions Pakistan and New Zealand will face each other in the opening match in Karachi.
The anticipated clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will be played on February 23 in Dubai.
Bangladesh are pitted in Group A, consisting of India, defending champions Pakistan and New Zealand.听
Group B comprises Australia, England, Afghanistan and South Africa.
Bangladesh will play their remaining matches against New Zealand in Karachi and Pakistan in Rawalpindi on February 25 and 27, respectively.
A total of 15 matches will be played in the tournament, and the two semi-finals are set for March 4 and 5. The final is on March 9, includes a reserve day.听
If India reaches the first semi-final, it will be held in the UAE; if not, it will occur in Pakistan. The final is planned for Lahore but can be moved to the UAE if India advances that far.
The hybrid model was finalised after the parties involved agreed that, in return, Pakistan's matches at ICC events hosted by India till 2027 will also be at a neutral venue.
In all instances, knockout games such as the semi-final and the final will also be held at neutral venues.
Bangladesh reached the semi-finals in the last edition of the tournament.
