The Real Estate and Housing Fair 2024 saw flats, plots and commercial spaces worth Tk 403,12,74,000 being sold and booked.

The five-day event, which began on December 23, concluded on Friday, drawing a huge crowd throughout its duration, according to a press release from the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh.

Of the total amount, flats were sold and booked for a total of Tk 230 crore, plots Tk 96 crore and commercial spaces Tk 77,12,74,000, the press release noted.

Additionally, bank commitments worth approximately Tk 1,090 crore were received. The fair witnessed a turnout of 17,729 buyers and visitors.

At the fair, Real Estate Research Standing Committee set up a booth to gather real estate information for research purposes.

About one thousand buyers participated by sharing their views on the housing sector through research forms.

Md Harun-or Rashid, chairman of the standing committee, stated that these insights would help determine the future progress of the real estate sector based on the opinions of the buyers and visitors.

REHAB leaders expressed satisfaction with the event, noting that the fair鈥檚 objective had been successfully achieved.

The significant response from Dhaka residents over the five days highlighted the importance of such initiatives for the housing sector. Many organisations participated primarily for branding rather than sales, and they considered their efforts successful, the press release said.

The participating organisations, including Sheltech (Pvt) Limited, showcased the quality of their products to the buyers and visitors.

REHAB leaders noted that buyers would carefully evaluate the products and make final purchasing decisions later.

They emphasised that the REHAB Fair provided a unique opportunity to connect with a large number of potential buyers at once, further boosting the housing sector鈥檚 prospects, said the release.
