At least six people, including a pedestrian, were killed and six other were injured in separate road accidents in Narayanganj and Rajshahi on Wednesday.

The 抖阴精品 correspondent in Narayanganj reported that three people were killed in separate road accidents in Rupganj.


The deceased, Ram Das and Ibadullah, hailed from Hatabo Atlashpur area, and Hridoy, was a resident of Natun Bazar area under Bhulta union in the upazila.

Bhulta police outpost sub-inspector Zahirul Islam said that a speeding private car lost control and hit the pavement, crushing Ram Das and Ibadullah while they were buying fish on the footpath along Rupsi-Kanchan road in Hatabo Jelepara area.

He said that the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

In another incident, Hridoy was killed and two of his friends were injured as their motorcycle collided head-on with a brick-laden trolley while they were returning Dhaka from Rupganj on Wednesday morning.

The private car and the trolley in both incidents were seized, the police said.

In Rajshahi, three motorcyclists were killed and one more were injured after a goods-laden truck hit their motorcycles on Naogaon-Rajshahi highway at Kalitala area under Mohanpur upazila, reported 抖阴精品 staff correspondent in Rajshahi.

The deceased are Md Kawsar, 19, resident of Bonkura village, Md Kausar Rahman, 18, and Md Polash, 15, residents of Dakshin Chakbalu village under Manda upazila in Naogaon.

In the accident, another youth named Sree Santu, 30, resident of Bathail village in the same upazila also received several injuries on the head and body, said the police.
